Our Services
Edlund Landscapes provides personalized attention to each of our customers based on the scope of your specific project.
We focus on design/build projects where we are able to help create sustainable solutions that meet your needs and then provide the installation for you. We can also help you to maintain your project after it is complete. We work with renovation projects as well as new construction.
We work with a diverse group of customers including homeowners, businesses, churches, private schools and non-profit organizations. Our projects range in scale from a simple irrigation service or backflow testing appointment to large projects that might take a year or more to complete.
Creative problem solving is something we enjoy. We have helped many customers find unique ways to complete their landscape projects by structuring the work in phases, supervising volunteer help, or coaching customers who are so inclined to do parts of the work themselves to stay within their budget.
Landscape Design
The Edlund Landscapes Design process begins with a complimentary on-site consultation to discuss your needs. From there we provide a detailed written proposal tailored to the scope of work necessary for your project. Once an agreement is made we collect site measurements and other site information that will be critical to our design work. From this information we develop a site plan and present a preliminary design. We work closely with our clients at this state to educate them about options and help them identify their goals and priorities. Once a clear focus for the project is developed we move on to construction documents and estimating. Not all projects require the same level of detail or documents so these steps are tailored to the needs of your specific project. When all the details are worked out the project moves to the Landscape construction phase.

Irrigation Systems
Edlund Landscapes provides irrigation system design, installation and maintenance services to keep your sprinkler system running efficiently.
Spring Tuneups ensure your sprinkler system and all of its components are working properly and there are no leaks, broken pipes, tilted or misdirected sprinkler heads, sticking control valves or other problems that will interfere with keeping your landscape watered during the growing season.
Proper winterization of your system in the fall ensures that your system won’t sustain freeze damage during a cold winter. Water sitting in valves, sprinkler heads, or pipes over the winter can cause significant damage to a system if temperatures dip below freezing for any length of time. Flushing your system with compressed air to displace the water before it gets cold is the best way to protect your system from frost damage. The key to doing this properly is using an air compressor with enough continuous capacity to push all the water out of the system. Homeowner or light commercial air compressors designed for use with nail guns or other hand tools do not remove all of the water. It's best to hire a professional.

Backflow Testing
Landscape irrigation systems are required by law to have backflow assemblies installed to protect the public water supply. Contact your water district for specific details about the requirements for your project.
Backflow assemblies must be tested annually by a certified backflow assembly tester. As part of that process a test report form must be submitted to the water purveyor and a copy is provided to the customer for their records.
Backflow testing for irrigation systems is typically done in the Spring when the system is first turned on for the growing season.
Edlund Landscapes is certified to test, repair and install backflow assemblies for irrigation systems.
